  1. Hi Joe, You may recall that a few years ago I discussed with you the possibility of coming up to Port Clinton to give a presentation for the Ottawa County Historical Society on your research into Fort Sandoske. At that time you indicated your willingness to do so. Unfortunately, Covid happened and plans were dropped. Now we are interested in having you come up here on Sunday, May 15, and present at the society’s Spring Meeting. If you are able and willing to do so, let me know and I will put you in touch with our Program Chair and we can discuss details. I thought we had emailed each other back then, but I couldn’t find your email address, so I am contacting you through your website. I am anxious to hear back. This topic is of particular interest to me and I know it will garner much interest among our membership and the general public.
    Kind regards,

  4. Nice research. I spent many years trying to locate this myself. As I once lived right on the Sandusky bay (and still live very close to it) I have done much of the same research you have as well as walking thousands of hours searching. I believe I have the location and have found many artifacts to support it. (trade goods, pipes, gunflints, musketballs etc. I have also spoken to the son (before his passing) of the original farmsteader and I know that he knew of no buildings there prior to their purchase of the land. So these finds must be from a much earlier period. Great info, and nice work on your part!
